Here is the set up, make sure to read this before signing up!
This is to simulate realistic play, and will be very active. I will have the official website out shortly. There will be no Q-School as we will be playing in one tour group. Please note that these settings are up for discussion/review as membership grows. RGT is by no means a dictatorship, I want tour members to be happy!

I've updated the first post, thanks to projectmayhem for bringing it up. Approach & Putting Cameras is to read the green and the approach within 50 yards. The Scout Camera is off, no zoom to aim in this Tour.

Ditto! Edit: this is about the wind meter being off. Guess quoting doesn't work on an iPad 2 with Safari. No worries.

I just have a quick tips question..how does one have any idea what the green is doing without the green grid?
The Putt Camera is of no help when I am playing on a 23" TV...it just looks like a giant green space. I cannot tell slope or anything. I just end up putting at the hole and seeing if I get lucky.

Are you using the putting camera? I'm on a ps3 controller, so I circle to get to it. The camera will pan down then I have 2 options, I can either swing around different angles with the right analog, or I can click L3 and it will change to different camera presets (lower, to the side, behind the hole, etc). To get out of the camera just press the putting camera button again. SOrry if you are already using this, but this method really brings in actual green reading. The nice thing about no aids is that, just like in real life, we can over-read, and end up playing too much break, etc. It's a beautiful thing

Matt will most likely send you a message about the rules, but this is what was sent out earlier regarding chipping on green and ghost balls:
No Flops/pitches/chips or any shots with a club other than the putter on the green unless your direct line to the hole is blocked.
- thanks to smiffylfc79 for bringing this up.
While there is no true way for us to police this (other than view ghost balls), RGT is built off sim play and the honor system is in place. I am confident we will not see any infractions of this rule from the quality you all bring to the tour.
Good luck in the tour!

After my first few days, I am also really enjoying playing with these settings. It makes a par feel satisfying and a birdie feel like a huge accomplishment. Also practice rounds are more fun, because you really have to pay attention to the course while playing through it. With all the other settings on you can just go out, play a round without ever playing it before and score low.

I have updated the OP, and added this as announcement so to be stickied on every forum. Also included the rule about ghost balls limited to just 1 per round, please. Thanks for the feedback.

Newbie to the site. Is there a requirement for the Driving Difficulty setting?

Newbie to the site. Is there a requirement for the Driving Difficulty setting? No bud, just keep it set as normal.
