First, I love the idea of more realistic settings. I just had a quick question about how you guys worked around not having the wind meter. How do you know the direction and intensity of the wind if you don't have the arrow/MPH on the screen?
I have never attempted to turn it off so I don't know what one sees instead. I could be totally off in my question.

it still shows the arrow, you just don't know the speed.

You can get a feel for the intensity after playing a hole or two. Also, the sound of the wind gusts can help determine intensity. It still leaves uncertainty of exact MPH, but that's what sim is all about.

Thank you both! Like I said..I love the idea of the added challenge. I just didn't know how to work with it.

Can't you just go the play now for that week's course and see what the wind is at to get an apprx idea?

Can't you just go the play now for that week's course and see what the wind is at to get an apprx idea? Never thought of that, but I guess you could. However, the wind will still be dynamic throughout the 18 holes and not knowing the exact MPH will add to the randomness of most shots.
