Hey All,
If anybody is like me and only plays no aids on TGC, you may be looking for more no aids tournament style play. After I play my rounds on the official RGT tournament for the week, I find myself trying new courses and just playing random rounds. Even though this is still fun, I would rather have more tournament style competition while trying out different courses and still be able to play against others on the same tournament using the same no aids settings.
And so, after discussing this with Matt, I am starting a new secondary weekly tournament which will be a "play just for fun". The settings will remain the same (no aids) and it will consist of 4 different courses, 1 round each, with 10 day duration (starting each Wednesday). I will be randomly selecting the courses each week, which will mostly come from new courses being published which I find mostly on HB studios forums. There will also be some "classic" courses which are on my favorites list.
Also, if anybody has any recommendations for courses to play, please let me know and I will certainly add them. Please note, most of the courses I will be selecting will be courses that I have not yet played, so there may be some bad or really difficult courses that end up on the tournament.
I also created the first tournament on PS4 as follows (PC is also set up - Matt10):
Tournament Name: RGT-JFF-1
Courses:
1. Pennsylvania Field Club (blue)
2. Whispering Boulders C.C.
3. Boleyn Lakes
4. Hoodoo Hills Remastered: The Gold Course at Yeti Gorge
No aids, 10 day duration
There will be no official leaderboards on the RGT website, since this is simply a play for fun style tournament. I am hoping that this will allow more no aids competition during the week with a more laid back approach. I hope you all try it out and enjoy the no aids course discovery play!
