I do not play along side ghost balls on any tours tournament just my personal preference, but I do not object to other players using them if they so wish, but I also agree with the pevious post, that it should be limited to 1 ghost ball, so u can play against a friends ball if u so wish.

Yeah, we could go for that. I think someone had mentioned have turn based would be a fun time as well and immerse even more to the realism of having playing partners. I can adjust the rule on the website on gameplay settings if we would like.

It's the honor system but I think it should be limited to 1 and turn order enabled, so it gives you the feeling of playing alongside someone else.

I am ok with only one. Someone will have to help me find the setting for the turn order.

I am going to play my third at Doral with the ghost balls on...unless we want to wait for week 3.

Just joined yesterday and played my rounds last night. Really enjoyed myself. Thank you for setting this league up.
Didn't use any ghost balls as per the rules on the site. I'm glad to see this is changed. Although you can read the green, you certainly can't get a read like irl. Seeing the ghost balls roll gives you a more realistic view of the slopes.
Plus it might get more people to join the site, as most would be too frustrated with just reading the green.

Sounds good, guys. I've updated the main site in the Set Up section.

I played with ghost balls when the game came out and got tired of it quickly. Last month I finally decided to used my friends recorded games and it was quite fun, but time consuming. I did notice I would sometimes play better or worse by matching my playing partners round. In tournaments I never use them.
I can see the benefit when the grid is off, but still prefer making my own reads. Even if you have a similar line, putting styles can vary. I putt better without the grids(in a way, of course having the grid is much easier) since I use a lag style mostly. With grids on I will miss a lot of side hill putts as they lose pace near the hole. Grids off might still do the same thing, but not knowing the exact line sometimes works out for the better.
I had a mixed bag in my first rounds back to no grids. Some were way off and a few had me jumping out of the chair as the putt fell in on the last rotation.
