I just played "The Open St. Andrews Thursday" and found it alot better than this course. it was near the top of the list when looking at new public course. May be worth a change for this one. I am trying to do St. Andrews justice aswell, but unlikely i will have it completed in time for the open Good find mate. I agree that this is a better option for The Open. I never went into the troublesome area at the front of hole 12 so can't say if it's possible to putt from there but overall the course is good. Good luck with your own efforts at designing St. Andrews.

Good luck with your own efforts at designing St. Andrews. I thought I came back here to post this earlier. I tested that hole pretty extensively and it is not only impossible to putt up to the hole from there but the area is formed like a bowl so you always end up close to back where you began. Not sure why it is this way if not by design. I don't know the real ST. Andrews enough but can't imagine the green is designed this way irl. Glad to see we are changing the venue for this one. Cheers, StoneComet

I just played the Sunday version. I believe they're all from ColinMafia on PS4. Some of the greens seemed tricked up and rushed such as the pin on top of an upside down bowl ,but the green is completely flat on the top where the flag is. Anyways, had these two shots

Yeltzman has made 3 or 4 rediculously good British open courses.....just not St Andrews......Royal County Down, Troon and Muirfield I forget the fourth but any of these would be way better than a hacks version of St Andrews....I look for the exact course names tonight.

Muirfield is the one I enjoyed the most - but they are all good. The others are maybe lacking a little bit of humps and contours I felt. Has to be about overdone in game due to the stickiness of the fairways.
